Why choose me?

After 22 yrs in retail…

“Its my two skills combined that sets me apart from other quality consultants.”

After 22 years working in retail with a great bunch of people who were also some of the most professional money can buy, and after a reasonably successful career I decided to risk it all. I became a consultant and started EasyCompliance, and now you’re thinking why?

Mid way through my career I began to notice a trend emerging in information technology. It seemed that no matter what software people used they always wanted it exported back to excel or access or some other office application. Also data analysis tools were being used more and more to help drive quality and performance in a more efficient way.

My team and budget at the time was fairly small and that focused me on driving efficiency and analysis through using what software we had. So I developed my skills in MSOffice and created a network of great people to help me develop further. It was about this time I met a great guy at work (Phil Ellis). He introduced me to VBA and I loved it! I quickly set about changing manual tasks to automated ones and developed systems to capture data and dashboards that could be refreshed in minutes, all using VBA.

As my career progressed I kept up to date with changes because luckily Poundland invested heavily in IT and continually upgraded MSOffice and their back office servers until finally we moved to Office 365 and began using the cloud for sharing information.

  • My goal

I have found these skills compliment each other and deliver exceptional value, long term efficiency and awareness within a company. I just want to pay it forward and share my experience and skills in product compliance, regulatory affairs, MSOffice, VBA and SQL.

“Short term pain for a long term gain…”.

My thoughts on MSOFFICE, Shhhhh! “The best kept secret in retail and the most under utilised.” “A secret weapon when it comes to delivering product compliance and performance management on a tight budget.”
